Coaching

How coaching works

Coaching is a structured conversation that gives you space to understand yourself and your purpose. Together we untangle what is holding you back, so you can move forward with confidence and thrive. You already hold the answers. My role is to help you find them.

What you take away

How could coaching help?

  • Building confidence and self-belief when taking on new roles and challenges.
  • Understanding your strengths and how you work.
  • Approaching change with confidence and clarity.
  • Increasing resilience and overall wellbeing.
  • Building a more authentic and sustainable sense of success.

Being clear

What coaching is not

Coaching is not advice, and it is not therapy. I will not tell you what to do, or untangle things for you. We will not delve into your past, and we do not work with clinical mental health needs.

If at any point I think another kind of support would serve you better, I will tell you directly.

What the work looks like

The shape of a session

Coaching runs as a series of sessions, usually six, each 45 to 60 minutes. We agree the length and focus together when we first meet, so the programme fits your routine, or your line manager may agree it in advance where your employer is funding the coaching. Sessions follow this shape, some loosely and some more closely, depending on what you need.

What you want from our time

We start with what you are hoping for from the session, and what you want to untangle today.

Where things actually stand

A clear, honest look at the situation as it is now, rather than as it feels at three in the morning.

Exploring your options

We untangle the challenges together and turn over what might be possible, without rushing to an answer.

Agreeing your way forward

We close on the actions you have chosen to commit to, and why they matter to you.

Confidentiality

Coaching sessions are completely confidential. I work within the Coaching Code of Conduct, so what you share with me stays between us. The only exception is if I believe there is a risk of harm to you or to someone else, in which case I have a responsibility to act.

What is needed from you

Come to each session with a goal, or something you want to untangle. Give yourself fifteen minutes beforehand to get settled, away from distractions, with a pen and paper to hand. The more you bring to a session, the more you will take from it.

The whole person

More than the sum of our parts

Because I am trained in health, fitness and nutrition as well as leadership, the coaching takes in body as well as mind. We look at how you nourish yourself, how physiology feeds emotion, and how small physical shifts change your capacity to cope.

This is about wellbeing, not aesthetics. Mind and body together, because that is how people are.

How it works

Simple, and at your pace

Get in touch

We set up a short conversation to talk through what you are looking to untangle, and how coaching could work for you.

The paperwork, kept light

I share an agreement form and a couple of short forms, so you can tell me a little more about yourself before we start.

Your first session

We arrange your first session and begin untangling what is holding you back, so you can thrive.

Fees: the prices above are a starting point, and every piece of work is a little different. WhatsApp me or send a message and we will work out what suits you.

Questions

Good things to ask

Is this therapy?

No. Coaching is forward-looking and practical, focused on where you want to get to and how to get there. We do not delve into your past and we do not work with clinical mental health needs. It sits alongside therapy rather than replacing it, and I will always be honest if I think therapy would serve you better.

Do I need a diagnosis to work with you?

Not at all. Whether you are formally diagnosed, exploring the question, or simply feel the world is not built for the way your mind works, you are welcome here.

I have had a recent diagnosis. Can coaching help?

Often, yes. A diagnosis, whether that is neurodivergence or a health condition such as Parkinson's or an inflammatory condition, can change how you see yourself and what you expect of your days. Coaching does not treat the condition and sits alongside your medical care rather than replacing any of it. What it can do is give you space to work out what this means for you, what still matters, and how to build a life that fits the way things are now.

Do you work online or in person?

Both. Coaching sessions can be online wherever you are, or in person in north west London. Personal training is in my private studio in Eastcote.

How long does it take to feel a difference?

Many people feel a shift after the first few sessions. Lasting change takes a little longer, which is why coaching runs as a series of six rather than as a one-off.

Can you work with our whole team?

Yes. I run group workshops for leadership teams in schools and corporate settings, on resilience, confidence and building a culture people can sustain. Get in touch to talk through what your team needs.

Not sure which is right for you? That is a good first conversation.
